A moderate to large, deciduous tree. It can grow to100 feet and thicken to 8 feet. Leaflets are 5-6 and reactangular. Flowers are fragrant and yellowish. Fruits approximately 2 inch in diameter, circular and tapering which contain 1-2 hard seeds. Flowers appear in winter season and fruits in January- February.

it has Astringent, alterant, hypoglycemic.
It can be used in Diabetes, leucoderma, diarrhoea, pyrosis (heart burn) and toothache. Flowers are useful in burns, syphilis, stomacheache, cholera, dysentery and minorrhagia. It has beem found to reduced the glucose absorption from GIT and improve insulin and pro-insulin levels. It is effective in pancreatic cell regeneration. It has hypocholesteremic effect.
Decoction: 50-100 ml
Infusion: 80 ml
