Swedan (hot fomentation) helps to open all channels or Srotas (In Ayurveda, channels called as Srotas) in the body. Steam also improves circulation, which increases blood and lymph flow, supplying fresh oxygen to body tissues and bringing vitality and vigor. This can assist the elimination of waste products, speed healing after injury, and enhance recovery from disease.

Nasya is the instillation of medicated oil into the nostrils after massaging and inducing sweating to the upper portion of the body from the shoulders. During this process the areas around the nose, neck and shoulders are massaged continuously.
Shirodhara means the continuous pouring of decoction, oil, or other herbal liquid on the forehead
In Urovasti, a mixture of specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured over the chest and retained inside on herbal paste boundary. The healing properties of herbal oil used for this massage enriches the blood circulation and builds and maintains strong muscle and connective tissues.
