Description:
a large evergreen tree, leaves opposite, 8-20 cm long, leathery. Fruit 1.5-4 cm long, violet black on ripe. Seed usually one. Fruits are waten raw with salt, make tongue purple for hours.

It can be used in Diabetes, sore throats, indigeston, loss of appitite, leucorrhoea, bronchitis, asthma, ulcers and dysentery. It is also blood purifier.

Bark powder: 5-1 gm
Seeds: 1-3gm
