This is only one college under Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine dealing with Ayurveda in Nepal. It is located in Kritipur, beside TU.
It has two types of services: one is education, another is hospital.

After graduation one is able to provide basic health care services and can handle primary health care centers and district hospital. BAMS means Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. One who has passed +2 science (Biology) or equivalent can apply for admission. If one succeeds in Entrance exam, s\he can get admission. Now each year they have 20 seats for BAMS.
This BAMS program runs through 3 phases of academic programs each of 18 months. Then one has to do one year internship in various departments of hospitals. Academic programs are run in Ayurveda Campus Kirtipur, Maharajgunj Medicine Campus. Filed works are done within Nepal. Hospital based trainings are done in Central Ayurveda Hospital Naradevi, TU Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, Shukra Raj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital Teku, and TU Ayurveda Teaching Hospital Kirtipur.

The college will soon launch three (possibly: Kaya Chikitsa, Dravya Guna, Rasa shastra and Bhaisajya Kalpana) Master level programs. This will be the first time in Nepal for such programs.

Under Salya Shalakya it gives one specialized service of Kshara Shutra for the treatments of fistula in ano.
The time of hospital opening is 10 am to 2 pm, except public holiday. The patients who got their treatment here are better satisfied.

In near future it will open one hospital with indoor facility. The possible services will be: Emergency, Minor Operation Theatre, Panchakarma etc. and other usual indoor services. Other diagnostic set ups will be: x-ray and USG at first. The hospital has greater dream than this. But the financial help from the government is the must. The construction of hospital building has just been completed. In the recent years people’s demand is increasing for Ayurvedic treatments.
