Procedure to make some Classical Ayurveda Drugs


Following drugs are examples of those drugs which can be made easily at home as its components are well known, non metallic and can be found at one's home. Similarly the procedures are also very simple.

1.Sringadi churna

 Procedure: Grind minutely and make homogenous mixture of all these components.

Uses: Fever, cough and dyspnoea etc.

Dosage: 1-3 gm with water.

2.Sitopaladi Churna

Uses: cough and dyspnoea, TB and Raktapitta etc.

Dosage: 1-2 gm with honey or Ghee.

Uses: Hyperacidity, gastritis, constipation, indigestion, piles etc.

Dosage: 3-6 gm with cold water.

4. Byagri churna:

5.Trikatu Churna:

Uses: catarrh, indigestion, gas, throat problems, digestive problems etc.

Dosage: 1-3 gm with honey.

 

6.Triphala churna (mother medicine)

Procedure: Grind minutely and make homogenous mixture of all these components.

Uses: Triphala is a digestive aid. Regular use promotes good colon health, stimulates intestinal movement. Triphala prevents aging, imparts immunity and improves mental faculties. It helps to detoxify the liver, restore digestion and purify blood.

When consumed for a long period, Triphala helps reduce excess weight. It promotes good colon health and acts as a laxative without causing cramps or irritation. It gently stimulates the intestinal walls and restores tone to the colon, thus helping in the elimination process, providing a colon cleansing effect.

Dosage: 3-6 gm with meal.

7.Panchakola churna:

Uses: abdominal problems, splenomegaly etc.

Dosage: 1-4 gm with honey
