Description: An
herb with long, creeping-branched, aromatic rhizomes. Flowering
shoots supported by a large leaf like structure called spathe.
Flowers small, pale green, clindrical spikes called spadix,
fruits yellow.
Parts used: Rhizome.

In Mental diseases as nerve stimulant.
Its infusion is given in diarrhoea, dysentery, bronchial
and chest diseases and epilepsy.
It is the remedy for flatulent colic.
Its poultice is used in rheumatic swellings.
It is used in Bronchitis, schizophrenia, obesity, fever,
rheumatism, fever, glandular and abdominal tumors, kidney
and liver complaints and eczema.
Forms of use: As powder, infusion, tincture, fluid extract.
