Ayurveda Health Camp gets crowded

KATHMANDU, Nepal June 20, 2011: An intensive one day free health camp was successfully completed at Harisiddi, Lalitpur recently. The camp was organized to provide the ayurveda health services and create awareness about the national and indigenous health system, Ayurveda, says a press release issued by Ayur Polycliic Pvt. Ltd.

“Though Ayurveda has been preserving health and curing diseases from ancient times making the people self-reliant on health service by utilizing local medicinal herbs and medical entities, the new generation seems to be aloof from this traditional system because of not having proper exposure and well transfer of knowledge.”, said Dr Raja Ram Dhungana, Coordinator, Ayur Polyclinic. He further said that the health camp also helped them to know the usefulness of herbs which have been neglected mere as a plant in their surroundings.

Along with the free distribution of Medicine, the organizer had also provided free lab investigation. The patients were very much satisfied with the classical ayurveda treatment “Nadi Swedan”, a process of applying herbal steam in pain related area and “Lepa”, the application of herbal paste to subside the swelling and pain.

“We are pretty much excited with the overwhelming presence of crowd and enthusiastic to organize such health camp  in near future too.”, said Mr Surya Krishna Shrestha, Managing Director, Ayur Polyclinic. About 200 people benefited from that one day health camp which was organized by Ayur polyclinic in association with Rotary Club, Lalitpur and Harisiddi Higher Secondary School, Harisiddi.
