12-10-09, kathmandu, Dr Shyam Mani Adhikari, MD in Dravyagurna, today revealed that the so called adverse effect of ayurveda drug is due to the use of uncontrolled, nonstandard and unidentified herbs as a medicine. While presenting the research on “Sources of herbs used for ayurveda medicines”, Dr Adhikari said, “The crude herbs selling by the different stockiest with same names have different standard, morphology and quality. So, they, undoubltly, cause unwanted effect.” He emphasized that there should be one standard and quality of herbs.
Ayurveda Doctors’ Association, Nepal (ADAN) is celebrating five days interactive program. On the third day of celebration, ADAN organized the scientific session. In addition to Dr Adhikari, Dr Bisnu Patel, Dr Ragendra Giri and Dr Rishi Koirala also presented their research papers.
