Mandukasana


It resembles the posture of Manduk (Frog).

Variety 1:
Procedure:

i.    Sit in Bajrasana extending the hands outside.
ii.   Put the left palm on the navel and the tight palm over the left one and inhale.
iii.    Slowly, lean forward exhaling the air, eyes looking forwards.
iv.    Stay in this posture for a while and then return to step (i).

Variety 2:
Procedure:
i.    Sit in Bajrasana closing the fist
ii.  Now, keep both the fists towards the navel and inhale
iii. Stay in this posture for a while and return to step (ii).


Indications:
i.    It activates the pancreas and its insulin secretion is so beneficial in diabetes.
ii.    It is useful in gastro-intestinal problems.
iii.    It is also helpful in heart diseases.
