1. Hi, i have a problem in my stomach, I really could not figure out, what is the reason behind it as it pains so hard often. The pain is at the lower left part of the stomach, I try not to eat junk food but sometimes due to no time I eat however I take organic food. So you kindly suggest me what could be the main problem. I would really appreciate you.
Name: Rekha Joshi
Address: 3341 el cerrito, apt. 1, Ca, USA
Age: 23
Occupation: software engineer
Email: sushmita.joshi@gmail.com

Ans: Hi dear! it would  be better and easier for me to figure out if u also have mentioned about ur  bowel habit, menstruations period. Be sure that u don't have constipation n evacuation is clear. Sometimes the long time accumulation of feaces n gases in the sigmoid colon makes severe pain in the lower part of the stomach. Otherwise pelvic pathology should be ruled out.
So dear, I hope u got the point what I mean.

Happy to know about ur food habit that u give more preference to organic food n try to avoid junk food. Keep it up.

2. Can I remove the scar of my face caused due to Seborric dermatitis(accn to skin specialist
Name: Romas Shrestha
Address: Kathmandu
Age: 22

ANS: Dear Romus, I would like to know whether there is recurrence of seborrhoeic dermatitis ( that u have mentioned) or not as however its cause is unknown but the yeast like fungus appears to be perpetuating factor for it.

In the context of removing scar, it depends upon the type of skin (thick or thin); depth, size, distribution & duration of the scar.

If it is too deep, spreaded & chronic you may get help of cosmetic surgery.
The local application of unriped fruit juice of Indian or Gaub Persimon / Tinduk/ Diospyros peregrine (if you can get) over skin helps to remove these scars & restores its normal colour. Otherwise once you do try “No Marks” anti- marks cream which is easily available in the market.

In order to prevent further complications you must have to avoid the causative factors of recurrence. Keep attention in your personal hygiene, full balanced diet with free of excessive intake of spices, fats/oil & try to live stress free life. Be careful about the use of any kind of soap & cosmetics.

3. I m patient of diabetes since 2 yrs.i have not taken any modern medicine now a days. I m taking Ayurveda medicine regularly. the used medicines are rohitakyadi churna with swarnabang, pittagnabati, chandrapravabati.after taking these medicines i m feeling little improved. For more improvement what medicine should i take? Is there any side effect occur from above medicine which i m using from long time? Now my sugar level in blood after meal is 178 only. At first it was 312.

ANS:  Poudel ji, glad to know that you have been controlling your sugar level & feeling improvement after taking Ayurveda medicines (still has to control).

But it's not clear from your mail that for how long you have been taking these medicines, with or without the consultation of your doctor.

As being an Ayurveda doctor I would like to advise you that, you must have to take your doctor's consultation before taking any medicine and I would also like to say you that Ayurveda medicine too have side effects (not much comparison to those of chemical drugs) & should not take as that of food or vegetable. Everything has its own importance & limitation. The side effects depend upon the nature, dose, duration etc.

Moreover the disease diabetes itself has its own multiple complications that will develop in later days/stages. So you must be careful & should take precautions in your dietary & behavioral habits that you must know.

Nowadays Diabetes becoming a prevalent one due to stressful life & food habits.
You can also follow some particular Yoga asanas under any Yoga expert.

The medicines Chandrapravavati & Swarnabanga are good & they are indicated for diabetes. But Rohitkyadi churna & Pittaghnavati are indicated for other diseases too & they can be taken as symptomatic in your case.

So once you do visit your nearby Ayurveda doctor get consultation, have thorough medical examination.
Good lucks.

4. My father is suffering from bath, he can not walk, we contacted three doctors but no any progress has been seen. he is healthy except bath. check up were done, no other types of problems such as sugar, kidney, heart etc were seen. So I requested Doctor to provide me suitable suggestion for treatment
Name: Raj Babu Thapa
Address: Sanothimi
Age: 35
Email: thaparajbabu@yahoo.com

ANS:  Thapa ji, it would be better if you have also mentioned your father’s age & duration of the problem. The disease that u have written is of many types like due to degeneration of bone (Osteo Arthritis) called Sandhivat, high uric acid (Gouty Arthritis) named Vat Rakta, increased Rheumatoid factor ( Rheumatoid Arthritis) called Aamvat.

It’s great that your father has no any other complications except his lack of movement.
In order to suggest any suitable treatment we must have to know the type of Vat that he’s been suffering though it is more likely to have Sandhivat (degeneration of bone) in old age.

Moreover he must have to get treatment under good observation with gentle medicated massage & regular Yoga physical exercise. So I would like to advice, once you do visit your nearby Ayurveda doctor with full previous investigation reports from where you can get direct medical advice with observation & management.
Wish your father for good health & fast recovery.
Hope to have regular communication.

5. Can u tell me any solutions for stretch marks? i have had them for many years since my teens and now that they are mature, ie turned white, they seem a little unsightly. Are there any nepali herbal remedies i can use? Please help.
Name: sush, female
Age:    27
Occupation: Teacher
Email:  shybutclassy@hotmail.com

ANS: Dear Sush, it’s not clear from your letter about the site of occurrence of stretch marks that you have mentioned.

Usually they are streak like, linear atrophic (wasting / decreasing in the size of part), pinkish or purplish scar like lesions, later which turn into white. They are mostly appeared on the breasts, thighs, belly & buttocks due to weakening of elastic tissues (elasticity of the muscles, skin) associated with over weight, rapid growth, during puberty & adolescence, topical or prolonged treatment with corticosteroids, Cushing’s syndrome, pregnancy.

The sudden loss or wasting of muscles may lead these types of marks. So the stretch mark could be due to one of these above causes.

In the context of their solution, gaining & maintaining to the previous body weight can do help. You may have balanced diet, regular Yoga exercise, regular body massage with oil, stress free life so that you can maintain the musculature structure & elasticity of the tissues which will help to vanish the marks. You once do try “No Marks” anti-marks cream which is easily available in the market.

6. Hello doctor, I am rupesh. My height is 5feet 9 inches but i have underweight of 54 kg. I want to increase my weight to above 60. I have listened in Ayurveda there are lots of medicine to increase weight and immunity. Please give me the right solution.
Name: Rupesh
Address: Baneshwar
Age:   22
Email: rupesh_768@hotmail.com

ANS:
Hello Rupesh ! Yeah of course, your present body weight Vs height indicates that you are underweight. In the context of universal ideal weight you have to maintain it with 73 kg on the basis of your height (i.e. 5ft 9inches).

But at the same time I would like to congratulate you for your standard height that you’ve gained within 22 yrs of age & inherited genetically from your parents / fore parents. So thanks to them.
There are many causes behind loosing weight or not to gain weight at all like heredity, stress / strain full life, mental / physical ailments or diseases, worm infestation, poor food habit along with poor digestion, lack of balanced diet etc.

But don’t worry, the age & occupation (student) that you have mentioned are really may cause for your underweightness. As you have to concentrate more on your studies, you might have skipped concentrating on your diet. Moreover, the age & height you stand for really needs frequent (at least 6 times per day) balanced diet with all nutrients.

Taking medicine is not only the solution. If you are free from above causes you may gain your weight & immunity power. You must have to change your food habit, life style. Once you go your thorough medical checkup & make sure that there are no such obstacles.

Taking cooked/ uncooked sprouts (germinated) especially of gram & moong, wheat items, fruits, milk daily as well as living stress free life etc help you lot.
You do take –
                     Ashwagandha powder – 2 gram
                     Amalki powder            -- 2 gram
Mixed both take twice daily with milk after food for 1 month.
